Treasure Mart is a technology-focused wholesale distributor of paper-crafting, fine art, and stationery supplies, located in in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Since 1957 they have supplied Canadian retailers in the craft industry.

"Recently we have moved more into the fine art realm and are continually adding new, exciting brands. Nowadays, we use custom in-house software that allows us to offer a lot of unique features, and to do more with less space and in less time. Ken Anstey, son of Gordon Anstey, the company founder, still runs the company with his wife Sylvia, their son, Ryan, daughter, Stephanie and an awesome team of smart, hardworking, fun people who truly help us, for a small company, punch above our weight."

About Crafts and Arts Supplies as one Association and Trade Show ...
"We love it! We were a regular at the Creativation conferences, and with our recent expansion into the fine art supply industry,
there was twice as much reason to go to the Namta show this year. We’ve been surprised by the amount of overlap between crafting and fine art retailers, so the merger just feels like a no-brainer. Given there is so much crossover, having a clear distinction between fine art supplies and art and craft doesn’t seem to be particularly useful anyway. To a new artist purchasing art supplies, knowing where to start can be a bit daunting, and the last thing retailers want is to scare off potential customers by exclusively selling products that are beyond people’s skill or experience level. Alongside traditional art supply brands, we're interested in companies that sell art kits, painting by numbers, and similar crafty products that maybe are a little more accessible to the beginner artists out there, and it was exciting to see the new things brands are doing these days at the show. As we grow our share of the art supply market in Canada, we see retailers are recognizing the value of carrying a wide variety of products for all kinds of creative techniques and hobbies in both fine art and craft."

Danny Arseneault

Danny Arseneault, passed away on May 3rd. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Judy. He will be dearly missed by his two sons, spouses and three grandchildren. Danny had been ill for a while but still found a way to make sure that Canadian HK Holbein stayed on course.

Danny began his career with HK Holbein in 1978 as Director of Sales and helped to build the Company to where it is today. He became the General Manager for Canada early in the new century and continued in that capacity until his passing.

Danny’s steady hand and wonderful disposition made everyone he came into contact with, feel at ease. He endeared himself to co-workers, customers and suppliers. His clear sense of always doing the right thing was his beacon. His loyalty was inspirational and unwavering. We have lost a beloved brother, friend, confidant and a truly caring human being. We will miss his infectious laugh, cheerful disposition and good-natured outlook on life.

Danny never missed a Namta show, until this year. He so loved getting together with all of his many friends in our industry. His spirit and leadership will live on in all of us. We will miss him.

- HK Holbein
